Walk to town of Bucerias, Bucerías

yeah_baby Says:  The town of Bucerias was a short distance away (10 minute walk). Walk along to Bucerias if you want to get some souvenirs - We found the souveneirs to be cheaper than Vallarta itself, but we also didn't want to barter with them as it seemed .Good thing to note is that there...

Dulce Galeria: Warning about Shopowner in Bucerias, Bucerías

coffeeman27 Says:  Do not shop at Dulce Galeria. Its owned by Gustavo Arce. He took our money, promising to ship some ceramic plates, but he never shipped them. He makes a lot of promises but never follows through. Its been 3 months and on package, and no refund. He even admits in email that...

Bucerias Market: Trinkets and fun

Bucerias Market: Trinkets and fun, Bucerías

emmicat Says:  Booths and more booths of silver jewelry, clothes, crafts, and more. Bargaining is the rule so look around and get yourself the best deal. Silver jewelry is what to buy pretty much anywhere in Mexico but be careful to make sure that it IS silver.

Souvenir Mercado

Souvenir Mercado, Bucerías

Ames24 Says:  A typical long strip of souvenir market as you would find in Mexico. A lot of Catholic related items plus local and Mexican art and crafts as you see everywhere else... ...but the one thing I regret is not picking up a postcard -- I pick up a postcard for almost every place...

This resort has many restaurants plus unlimited local drinks and wines, midnight snack,
daily activities, nightly entertainment, disco and free admission drinks
included, 1 introductory lesson for scuba diving in pool.

We sampled the horse back riding by the beach for P150.00--did it at sunset so it wouldn't be too hot. It's casual and an easy ride for first timers altho at times the horse I got had a tendency to go faster than usual!

Tourist Traps

leave you cowboy hat downtown
jstocco profile photo
jstocco 15 reviews

I know the hats look cool, but you will become a "tourist target" if you have one on. You will get everything from paying more for meals and drinks to being harassed by street venders. I know because my friend lives in Bucerias and let me walk around for a day with one on before he so kindly told me why I was getting bombarded. What a nice guy...

3.5 out of 5 starsHelpfulness

yeah_baby 260 reviews

Walk down the first road on the left leaving the hotel and you will find the town a short walk. On the way there is a guy named Scott from Canada that will sell you any tour you want for much cheaper than the hotel or anywhere else. They all cost the vender the same .

Take the bus on the main road to town. It is fun. The cab stand in front of the hotel will make any deal you want to take you anywhere and wait for you. They will take you on all day tours of the towns, mountians and beer and teguilla factories. Great place and will go again. Painless vacation spot.

Favorite thing: Block 5 is the newest set of buildings, and is the adults only part, as well as having the best ( I think) of the 4 pools there.

You can see Iguanas sometimes in that area, which made for some cool pictures!

This Resort gets a 5/5 for service too!!
If you tip even a dollar, you will get stronger drinks, and the waiters/ bartenders always remember you. A great resort at a great price!!!! I've spoken to people who have been to the Royal Decameron, as well as the Riu Jalisco, Krystal, Vilas Vallarta, Crown paradise, Blue Bay, Marival, and they like the Decameron the best. I'm a definite loyal customer!!!! Have a great day, I hope this was helpful!!
