Bucerías Things to Do

  • Splurge Art Gallery at the Bucerias Art...

Splurge Art Gallery is a great place to find art by international artists and also emerging local artists. They have a great collection of designer Pewter and they are priced very reasonably. They are located in the Bucerias Art Walk plaza alongside A Broken Art, The Winged Iguana, A Peace of Art, and My Mexican Kitchen.Every Thursday there is...

  • Sailing at Paradise Village Marina

I spent an afternoon sailing whit a great guide named Josh from J World sailing in the Paradise Village Marina. It was amazing. I have never been before, and by the end of the day I thought I was doing pretty good... we saw whales and dolphins while out. It is a wonderful experience I would suggest anyone do at least once.

Bucerías Restaurants

  • Great seafood and live music

I recently took my family to this restaurant. It was slow season, so as with all restaurants in the area, it was fairly empty. The waiter seated us, and placed the napkin on our lap (a small thing, but that was the first time that happened to me in Mexico). He right away got our kids drinks (Shirley Temples with extra cherries) which as a...

  • Trinkets and fun

Booths and more booths of silver jewelry, clothes, crafts, and more. Bargaining is the rule so look around and get yourself the best deal. Silver jewelry is what to buy pretty much anywhere in Mexico but be careful to make sure that it IS silver.

A typical long strip of souvenir market as you would find in Mexico. A lot of Catholic related items plus local and Mexican art and crafts as you see everywhere else... ...but the one thing I regret is not picking up a postcard -- I pick up a postcard for almost every place I spend any amount of time in. There were no Bucerias postcards in...

This resort has many restaurants plus unlimited local drinks and wines, midnight snack,
daily activities, nightly entertainment, disco and free admission drinks
included, 1 introductory lesson for scuba diving in pool.

We sampled the horse back riding by the beach for P150.00--did it at sunset so it wouldn't be too hot. It's casual and an easy ride for first timers altho at times the horse I got had a tendency to go faster than usual!

Bucerías Tourist Traps

I know the hats look cool, but you will become a "tourist target" if you have one on. You will get everything from paying more for meals and drinks to being harassed by street venders. I know because my friend lives in Bucerias and let me walk around for a day with one on before he so kindly told me why I was getting bombarded. What a nice guy...

Bucerías Off The Beaten Path

    3.5 out of 5 starsHelpfulness

Walk down the first road on the left leaving the hotel and you will find the town a short walk. On the way there is a guy named Scott from Canada that will sell you any tour you want for much cheaper than the hotel or anywhere else. They all cost the vender the same .

Take the bus on the main road to town. It is fun. The cab stand in front of the hotel will make any deal you want to take you anywhere and wait for you. They will take you on all day tours of the towns, mountians and beer and teguilla factories. Great place and will go again. Painless vacation spot.

Bucerías Favorites

Favorite thing: Block 5 is the newest set of buildings, and is the adults only part, as well as having the best ( I think) of the 4 pools there.

You can see Iguanas sometimes in that area, which made for some cool pictures!

This Resort gets a 5/5 for service too!!
If you tip even a dollar, you will get stronger drinks, and the waiters/ bartenders always remember you. A great resort at a great price!!!! I've spoken to people who have been to the Royal Decameron, as well as the Riu Jalisco, Krystal, Vilas Vallarta, Crown paradise, Blue Bay, Marival, and they like the Decameron the best. I'm a definite loyal customer!!!! Have a great day, I hope this was helpful!!
