Please find the craftmanship hand made right from center and south Mexico, prices are cheap and there are a lot of wood made toys, regional and national candies.
Visit the Mercado Benito Juarez, in the city center. Here you will find the simple goods of the everyday Regios (nickname for those who live in this city). Among the offerings are religious images, either in the form of statues or pictures, like the ones featured here. These renderings are true art forms, representing the strong Catholic influence in the Mexican culture.
Fondest memory: The pictures featured here include Nuestra Senora de Guadalupe, a much honored figure in Mexican culture. These are truly beautiful and interesting works.
