On November 1st Mexico celebrates Dia de los Muertes, during which people go tochurchyards to visit their deceased loved ones. They do this quite exstensively, making it into a family outing almost. During these days beautiful painted, earthenware calaveras (skulls) are offered for sale as well as other earthenware products, such as skeletons and more paraphernalia connected with the dead, wall decorations, jugs and much more.
Every november 2 the hollyday ¨Dia de Muertos¨ (Dead´s Day), is celebrated in Mexico. This is a special day where people build a ¨Altar de Muertos¨ (Dead´s Shrine ) in memorial of any special celebrity, relative or parents. The altar is very especial, it is a mix of spanish influences -as the catholic icons, and ancient mexican traditions as the seven steps, the water, the fire and the ash.
People belive the soul of deads relatives returns to they houses, live parents build the Altar to show them love, they cook they favorite meals, drinks, even play songs, light up candels and get a party for them.
