    Kokoloco: Barrio Antiguo Nightlife

    by jm34bee Written Nov 28, 2006

Great place in Barrio Antiguo to listen to all kinds of music. They played alternative, electronic, and Regeton all in one night. Try and get your hands on a free pass or they charge $10 on Saturdays to get in.

    Manaus: Nightclub in Barrio Antiguo

    by jm34bee Written Nov 28, 2006

This place is pretty big and stays open really late. Live entertainment and promotional drink specials. Usually a free shot when you get in the door. Look for the passes they hand out in the streets to get in free on the weekends. Otherwise there is a $12 cover.

La Havana: Best place to go out

by aurelien Written Mar 25, 2006

La Havana is likely to be the best place to go out in Monterrey if you like trendy places and really cute girls. Closed to the "centrito valle", it is ubicated in the area of San Pedro. Go with a few friends, bring your credit card and you will discover this exlusive place in Monterrey, without any doubt the best club of Monterrey.

    YeeeHaww: Dancing... the night away...

    by John195123 Written Jul 8, 2005

Mexicans, at least the ones I know, love to dance. We'd often have parties that would, no doubt, have dancing, so be open to that. I know I sure was... I watched so many people dance...he...
But the types of dancing really vary. Nightclubs have the typical nightclub, vertical sex dancing, and even more genteel forms... just having fun. Other bars, such as Barullo, have Norteno music and dancing, which was a favorite among my friends. In the photo, a girl dances Salsa on a rooftop patio at Privada Antigua, an apartment complex.

Dress Code: People tend to dress up a bit. Nothing to sleazy, and don't be surprised if people whistle, ladies.

    Skizzo Electroclub: The After-After Party

by DriftingDavila Written Jul 27, 2004

We had heard that Skizzo was the place to be for electronic/techno music. We went and checked things out at about 2 am and it was dead. When we talked to the bouncers they said that it doesn't get good until like 4 am and that they stay open until 9am. Needless to say we didn't stay that late and didn't really get to experience the club.

The club had a very cool atmosphere, if you are planning on going check ahead for events since they usually have some pretty awesome acts.

    Dress Code: None at all.

Gay Bar?: The Only Club that accepts MasterCard

by DriftingDavila Written Jul 27, 2004

    3.5 out of 5 starsHelpfulness

This was a really cool little spot, the only thing was that we eventually found out that it was the local gay club. (Fine by me, no loser guys were hitting on me for once!) It was the only club that accepted credit cards in the area, and believe me we asked! The drinks were good and cheap.

Oddly enough we only figured out that it was a gay club because my husband went to go and get some drinks and interupted the bartender and his boyfriend...oops!!! :) The next night we went by the same club and saw the Gay Pride Flag hanging at attention outside.....ohhhhh it all clicked.

This city have a lot of night club. Ones for dancing, others just for listenig music or only for meet people and chat.

In Monterrey are two famous areas where the most importants night clubs are locate.

One is 'Barrio Antiguo', just next to the Macroplaza at downtown. That places are like pub: take a drink, listeng music and have fun!!!

The other area is located at San Pedro Garza García and is called 'El Centrito' at 'Del Valle'

  • Antros(dance clubs) are so hot...

    by salsa_verde Written Aug 26, 2002

Antros(dance clubs) are so hot in monterrey.
For the club i went to it was open until 8 in the morning. The cover charge was 200 pesos (around 20 bucks) before like 4 or 5 am, and after was only 100 pesos (10 dollars). It had a great atmosphere. The entire downtown is incredible for great bars and discos! You have to be 18 to drink in monterrey, but there are many ways around that very easily.
NIRVANA is the HOTTEST bar! Incredible service and very friendly bouncers and waiters. ANd great drinks. Located at Plaza Fiesta (big mall in monterrey) (actually outside, but attached to mall). I would recommend anyone to NIRVANA it was so hot. they were open until 2:30 (time varies though), and there is only a cover charge on weekends i'm sure. It was only around 4.50 (american) to get in. The drinks are reasonably priced and VERY good. If you want a place to start or finish your night Nirvana is that place!!
Very hot atmosphere. Reminds you of LA. Girls can be snobby to you if you're , but you will definetly get more guys attention. Girls- the less clothes and more make-up you wear the more attention you'll get!! as with anywhere on the planet. :)

Dress Code: depends on the disco. Um some are like MTV music video 'wear pretty much nothing- my fav.' hahaha, but some are more casual. If you're from another country you can get away with wearnig anything. You could wear a swimsuit and get in ;) tip for the girls: if you're underage and aren't sure if you'll get in, go with an 18 or older guy. then you will NEVER be checked for an ID. I have never been asked for an ID anywhere (from clubs, bars to Applebee's), but that is a helpful tip.

    Kankoon - A great nightclub. ...

by gaolei Written Aug 25, 2002

Kankoon - A great nightclub. Don't go early, because the dancing starts at midnight and ends at dawn.
This is a huge club with good live music on the weekend. Then night I went there were two large bands, one Mexican the other Columbian. The music was great!
This is a semi-respectible place. You will see people enjoying the music and dancing. However, if you don't have a dance partner, you can rent one for $25. She comes with a bucket of Cokes and a bottle of Rum (or maybe the other way around). And, yes, they do ask to be taken out, but that is up to you. There is no pressure to do anything but dance and Mexican people can really dance!

Dress Code: None, but local people dress nicely.

This is a very nice place to visit, this is a restaurant bar, it has a restaurant area and also a bar area, the bar area is soo cool, there are leather couches all over the site and they are so dammed comfortable seats! you´ll also find candles on each table and the drinks are great! No open bar but prices are okey...I recomend the ABC drink....shots!
    they´ll get you hammered!
The music they play it´s not the comercial music, they play dance music but the good tunes!

Dress Code: Dressy, not to dressy but nice, maybe I can call it casual.

This is a neat place in Barrio Antiguo, for live music and drinks. It isn´t usually packed, and there is two for one beer (occasionally- at least when we were there).

Dress Code: Casual, but not too over the top.

    Who knows: Obscure billiards

    by John195123 Written Jan 17, 2005

For insanely loud music, air that is 94.2% smoke, and three pool tables and a dance floor, this is your place. It was too loud, too smoky and too busy.

Dress Code: Whatever, women. Men? Dress decently
