As in every normal main city, a city hall is a must.
Also here was not info available, and the only thing I was able to find was that the city hall was built in 1870…

Inside you find as in every normal church a main altar.
As they do not give any information about the church, I don’t know what is special about this altar. Only, I suspect that the little piece of the wooden cross is also here is hidden in the altar…

The church of Santa María Huatulco is not that old. Build in 1908; this church looks fresher in its white colour then the most very old ones…
Also here you find a piece of the original wooden cross as I explained in my Santa Cruz Huatulco page…

Different then other places in Mexico you will not find here a round kiosk, but a rectangular kiosk.
Well, at least they have something you will not find in other places ;-)

Although Santa María Huatulco is not a tourist spot, it is for me a big tourist trap. I am sure that most people who visiting Santa Cruz Huatulco will take the effort to visit this town.
As you can see on this page, there is nothing to see or to do.
Maybe you better consider staying two ours longer in your bed, or doing something else.
Everything you do in Santa Cruz will be better then a visit to this (ghost) town…
