Wicked Undertow and Rip Tides..

by Greggor58

All along this part of the coastline the undertows and riptides are treacherous...every year..many people are drowned and never found again .Never swim alone.....and always heed the warning flags! There are some lifeguards along some portions of the beaches in this area but please exercise CAUTION even if you do swim well!!

Here is COMES........
Of course be careful of the water you drink.

Just make sure you eat from the right street vendors. Or else you could get quite sick. But don't throw out the idea of eating from street vendors all together. That's where some of the best food comes from. And for you women, careful of the men that ask you for the time and then follow you around the store!

Remember altitude & equatorial sun

by artpaws

Oaxaca is in a high valley at over 5,000 feet. You may, like me, need 2-3 days of easy activity until you acclimatize. Don't forget you are probably much closer to the sun: both in altitude and nearness to the equator. So, wear a hat & remember sunscreen.
