Nichupte Lagoon, Cancún
My collection of scenic sunsets was added by the wonderful sunset over the Nichupte Lagoon in Cancun.

I was staying at the Royal Sunset hotel (@ my accomodation tips), which is a "brother" hotel of the Sunset Lagoon. To go from one hotel to the other there's a little boat that goes back and forth more or less every hour between the Royal Sunset (you have to walk across the avenue in order to get to the side of the lagoon) and the Sunset Lagoon. This latter does NOT have access to the ocean, only to the Nichupte Lagoon.
Fondest memory: The picture you're looking at is the nice view I had from the boat while crossing the lagoon from one hotel to the other... The Nichupte Lagoon is surrounded by some very nice hotels and villas, and you can also see some people sailing on the lagoon, or even kayaking...
All throughout Mexico,Spanish is the official language.A big part of the population speak Maya.Other common languages include English,French,German and Italian.Cancun is -6 hours of the Greenwich Meridian Time.Religion and family are very important to Mexican people.
Fondest memory: Here is the point where the lagoon meets the sea.
The heart of Cancun is El Centro.Thousands of people go here to see the shops, markets and boutiques and sample the restaurants and exotic drinks.Cancun has the second largest barrier reef in the world and i found the snorkeling amazing.
Fondest memory: Here is where the lagoon meets the sea and hotels run along the crystal clear Caribbean sea.
A BEAUTIFUL STRIP OF SAND
>From the air, Cancun is like a long sand strip in turquoise waters. The Nichupté laggon at one side and the Caribbean sea at the other. All that strip is full of luxury hotels and at one corner, there is the little village of Cancun (don´t expect here old cantinas, but Hard Rock & McDonalds...).
