Medusa performs Thursdays thru Sundays.
Great if you like that 90's rock groups like Guns & Roses, Bon Jovi or other latin-american rock groups from the 90s like Maná.
At some points you will think that the real band is playing. They are good! The show starts around 23:30. Be there around 23:00 in order to get a good place.

Address: On tenth Avenue. Ask! Everyone knows La Jarra.
We were tired of drinking and hanging out at the same old hotel bars at the Riu Tequila so we hailed a cab for $4USD and headed downtown PDC. First stop was Carlos N' Charlies. This place has absolutely wonderful staff that are always up-beat and interactive with the patrons. Beers are cold and the music is good. Lots of entertainment watching guests and staff make fools of themselves. I rate this Bar 5 Beers up out of 5.
Second we hit Senor Frogs as we had heard so much about it. We sat towards the back and looked out onto the ocean near the Fairy Terminal. Lots of people and stuff going on. Took a bit of time to get a bevy (beverage) but hey, who cares we are on vacation. If you sit closer to the front I think you run the risk of being yanked on stage or made to do things you normally wouldn't do. i,e drink a copius amount of tequila then belt out a tune on stage! I rate this Bar 4 Beers up out of 5. They have a great little souvenir shop which has nicely decorated my bar at home in Muskoka, Ontario. Cheers!
Dress Code: Just don't come naked. Well, ladies might be allowed!

Just above the 5th avenida on the left and on the same street as the Blue Parrot, my friends and I discovered a little secret besides a lil pizza stand.
Its a fantastic mix of latin and europeans surrounded by art, chandeliers, funky bathrooms and really good music. The atmosphere is A-1 and the crowd is interesting. So after your walk on the beach under the moon, or after an appero drink elsewhere or even a late dinner -- Go try this place out. You will not be dissapointed.
There is no hiphop or R&B so if that is the type of music you are looking for, stick to Capitan Tutix and the Blue Parrot.
There is a covered area downstairs that looks like any other club but the secret is upstairs, so go -- get on the terrasse and order a drink and ENJOY.

Most of the new chic europen style places are going in on the north end of Playa. Moon is an exception. It's the last thing on the south end, and the newest night club. If you're into techno on a roof top,, this could be your place. Very cool.
Dress Code: This was the best dressed bunch of folks I've seen in Playa. Of course that simply means, there were no cut offs and flip flops. The Crowd was really young and good looking for the most part.

We weren't looking for nightlife, ours consisted of eating a late dinner with a couple of drinks then back to our room to watch TV. We did have one very late night which we spent in the company of a very interesting restaurant owner, but that's another story! If you're looking for late night shopping and nightclubs then I would say that Playa del Carmen or Cancun would be a better choice of location.

When the sun goes down...I could't go out from the holiday village where I'v been. My husband don't like dancing, so we just sitted down at the bar drinking tequila.
