Is it Wednesday? Go have a massage at the Jungle Spa. These remarkable Mayan women give you a wonderful massage at very reasonable prices. I had the aloe wrap. They slathered me in aloe, straight from the freshly-plucked plant, then wrapped me in banana leaves. Very soothing.

Is it Sunday? Go to the Mayan Market. These same Mayan women cook some amazing food and sell crafts. They also perform a dance program. It's all very entertaining.

murales

In a couple of places around town you can find some interesting murales. Most of them, like the one in the picture, contain peaceful or helpful messages.

This one says: be conscious that your thoughts become words, be conscious that your words become your actions, be conscious that your actions become your destiny.

Take a good look around: thee's even one with Bob Marley's lyrics.

Mayan House

Less than a mile south of Puerto Morelos is a hidden corner of nature. A 65 hectare refuge for flora and fauna. Animals have a safe haven here and it is common to see iguana, foxes, birds, and troops of spider monkeys.
There is also a tree camp, a traditional Mayan house, and some ruins.
You will also find an abundant supply of mosquitos so wear long pants and shirts with sleeves.

The kids really enjoyed Crococun. It is part croc farm and part zoo.A visit is an educational and adventurous experience.
It is less than two miles north of puerto Morelos, on the highway.
