    Paradise swim

by KenBel Written Jun 24, 2004

The Mayan archaeological site of Tulum may be one of the main tourist attractions of the Yucatán peninsula, and the archaeological part of it may not be as impressive as Palenque or Chichen Itzá, nonetheless you have to go here ... Just its location on top of a rugged cliff on the Caribean Seashore makes it one of the closest things to paradise I've ever experienced ...
And although our trekking tour of the South of Mexico made us forget swimsuits, we just stripped down to our underwear and went for a swim ... to float in this multicoloured caribean water with a Mayan temple staring down at you from a cliff .... one of the most beautifull experiences of my life ... and we were only there for an hour!!
