Real de Catorce Restaurants

eucalipto´s food is excelent, with meals impossible to get in Real, like steaks, seafood (salmon, snapper and shrimp come to mind) the quality is above any other restaurant, as is the variety on the menu.

Alex and Stella, the new owners have brought to Real a much needed new menu, as most of the other restaurants have about the same items (pasta, pizza, and some mexican dishes).

we also noticed that any given dish, will be better in the eucalipto than in any other place (say,you order lasagna in the eucalipto and it will be the best)

we also learned that it has been featured in the travel and living channel and that Cindy Bisaillon from the NY times regarded eucalipto as the best place in Real.

Favorite Dish: we loved their shrimp in achiote and steaks.

There are many restaurants in Real de Catorce and almost all hotels have their own kitchen. There is even an Italian restaurant. To keep it cheep you can also choose eating between the bric-a-brac shops, the small kitchens who offering you food (special enchiladas, tacos, tortillas, etc…) for a small price. Problem with these kitchens is that most of them don’t offer you alcoholic drinks, what’s (at least for me) not so conducive for the appetite ;-)

This place is all in one =), they sells some crafts, they have maps, and wine made with local products, and of course delicious pizzas!
