    FiestaLand: OLE, OLE, CELEBRATION TIME

    FIESTALAND

Ok, the day is done, time to party at Fiestaland, a hugh complex of party locations. Six different venues are here including karaoke at the Canta Bar. A piano bar, dance bar, sports and dining restaurants and Valentino's Disco Club, no explanation needed. The party starts at 9 pm and goes till 4 am. Dance fever till the legs wear out, then it's "Last Dance" time. The setting is a Moorish Castle built out on a jutting rock into the ocean.

    Bora Bora: Bora Bora

    Bora Bora

The undisputed ruler of Mazatlan's bar scene is Bora Bora. Located at the north end of the beach, it is a 2,000-capacity bar, mostly open-air dance club. Wild and crazy but entertaining if you like that sort of thing! Bora Bora is the best place in which you will find people from all ages, nationalities and status, having the greatest time of their lives. Bora Bora is focused on total freedom, there are no limits, dancing on the tables, top of the bar counter or high cages is a go! Just be careful, unlike my bud Ryan, you don't want to fall and break bottles behind the bar!!!

    Dress Code: Casual

    disco on the point

People in Mazatlan are always ready to party, it doesn't have to be nighttime! You'll find plenty of discos and bars if you want to go out dancing or drinking. This big white disco on the point marks the boundary between the Zona Dorada and the locals' beach. Senor Frog's is a popular place, too, but you have to be in the right mood for it (or maybe I'm just getting older!). It has a pretty loud, party atmosphere, with a guy going around dispensing tequila shots and dancing at night.

Another place I went (Gringo Lingo or the Shrimp Factory?) sold jello shots, which was just what I needed at the time, hahaha! Cubes of jello made in ice-cube trays with liquor - a very quick attitude adjustment! ; )

Can you see it in the background of this picture? It's very large and there's a restaurant as well. This was one of my favorite stops in Mazatlan. I have fond memories of partying till sunrise with both tourists and Mexicans on holidays. Bar hours don't seem to have a closing time. During the day this long and almost continuous beach in the Golden Zone is the best place to hang out.

Dress Code: Semi-formal.They won't let you in with shorts.

This complex is home to three of the most exciting dance clubs around! Located in a beautiful white castle atop of a jetty. Lots of music, dancing a fun.

Dress Code: There is no dresscode. Bora Bora is a more relaxing open air atmosphere, and Valentinos is more the place were you might not go in shorts and sandals...but you'll be right at home in your shorts if you chose!
