Gus Gus's has THE BEST guacamole, it could be a meal in of itself. The atmosphere is just amazing with it's open air seating. Service is wonderful. I can't go to Mazatlan without stopping here for their guacamole and mango margaritas. The marlin tacos are very good also! Highly recommend this restaurant.
Favorite Dish:
The guacamole by far is my favorite. It isn't like your traditional chunky guacamole that looks like they just mashed some avocados and dumped in some salsa. No, this is much better, it is smooth and creamy, but full of flavor. Maybe it is the chips or the atmosphere of being on vacation, but I have never had guacamole better than this!
I was greeted by a gentleman who was friendly and made me feel welcome the minute I stepped into the place. It is an open setting that was bright and cheerful. The service was very good.
Favorite Dish:
Had a great hamburger! The fries were well cooked and the burger was tatsy and plentiful. If you are tired of mexican food and you are in the mood for a good burger this is the place!
Gus Gus is my favorite restaurant in Mazatlan...In fact it is my favorite restaurant anywhere....What makes it soooooo good is the staff...The service is great and the waiters are wonderful they truly go out of their way to make it an enjoyable experience. The music is always good and the food and drinks are cheap. I have had burritos, Quesadillas and they are good. Most nights we spent our evenings there. We got to know the staff by name and had very sad goodbyes...Canadian restaurants could learn a lesson from this business the service and prices are so good you don't mind the bill...The same type of food and drinks in Canada would easily be double or more and you would be hard pressed to get the same service...
Favorite Dish:
Nachos and Salsa........Homemade and delicious
Gus Gus is one of my favorite restaurants in Mazatlan. The atmosphere is awesome. Most seating is outdoor and has a great location. Most of the time they have music playing. The waiters are nice and the service is great. One of the best things about Gus Gus is that they bring out 3 different kinds of salsa with a basket of chips. I had a ton of fun here and the food is unbelievably good!
Favorite Dish:
Tortilla soup and Fajitas. I cant really explain how good it is, you just have to eat there yourself.
Gus Gus has an excellent location right on the main drag across from Hulahan's which is a shopping area for clothing, pottery, jewelry & tringkets. It's a good spot to stop for a light lunch, or for supper. The drinks are also very good and the prices are reasonable.
It's also a good spot to sit & have a few beers while your spouse is across the street shopping.
