On the second floor of the central Mercado Pino Suarez you'll find 15 restaurant stalls serving economical meals that have an authentic Mexican appeal. It is a welcome change from all the resaurants that cater to the tourist trade. Try the "Mi Fondita" stall #15 owners Palemon Chavez and Gloria Arriaga will definitely take care of you and make you feel part of the "familia" . This is a dinning experience not to miss. Tell them you were referred by William Richmond from California.

Favorite Dish: Caldo de pescado (fresh fish soup stew) served fresh , with warm corn totillas.

We loved Heather's Place as it offers local offerings as well as offerings from back home in Canada or USA. Open for breakfast, lunch and dinner. Heather is a great lady who moved there from Canada.

Favorite Dish: Pork Loin with Sage dressing and chunky apple sauce with cinnamon. Served with potato and vegetables. Great variety of flavours. Great homemade desserts as well.
