The Sábalo Centro bus runs from the hotel zone to downtown and costs 2 pesos . As with most buses, an extra 50 or 70 centavos is charged depending the distance. The buses begin running at 5:30am and start their final route about 10pm and are spaced at intervals of about 10 to 15 minutes. During rush hour (5 to 7pm) this bus fills up and two or three may pass you up for lack of space. If your destination is within the hotel zone, any of the other buses passing in front of your hotel will do. The Cerritos Juarez bus stops at La Gran Plaza shopping mall and the baseball stadium. The Sábalo Cocos bus stops at Gigante Super Market, Plaza Ley del Mar, Ley I and the Bus Station. But whatever you do, don't get on the wrong bus late at night! It happened to us and we ended up in the middle of no-where without a way back!!! Thank god for small miracles, the only person who could speak english in this small neighbourhood offered us a ride back (45 min car ride) when he found out we were CANADIAN!

Plane is your best option, customs are taken care of and no border control to worry about
Bus, cheap the perferred way to get to the ruins. Cab is good for someplace on the other side of the city. Foot is good for short places near your hotel.
