You're reading this 'cause your're one of those troublesome people who like things off the beaten track. Lupe's tortillas certainly qualify. I spent most of the morning trying to find her, and then, when we DID roll into her dusty drive, she was nowhere to be found. She'd done run off to sell her much sought after wares in Ures, for the Feast Day celeberations of the Guadalupana.
To find her, you have to turn off the highway in Imuris at the OXXO and then follow the paved road as it drops down, crosses the railroad, and then does a big left-hook curve. Keep your eyes open for an abarrotes named after Judas - you're close. When you see Judas, turn left onto the unpaved road. This lane curves to the right - follow it. Lupe is up ahead on the left. You might be able to identify her place by the collection of junker cars in the tard, or maybe her brother will greet you (as he did me). Ask everyone, and eventually you'll find her.
