    Nogales Warnings and Dangers

I read several articles on Nogales Mexico, and not having traveled there for a few years, I was unsettled about whether to go on a recent trip to Tucson. I was told not to for safety reason, by two different businesses telling me to go to Tubac instead. Years ago I noted that Tubac while pretty was considerably higher in prices although you would...

  • Walking across the border

    Nogales Transportation

Walking is a popular way to cross the border! Nogales, AZ has many guarded parking lots close to the port-of-entry. What you will have to do is to follow I-19 to the end in Nogales and there you are! The cost of a day parking ticket is pretty reasonable. Most of the shopping and eating attractions are close to the border and within easy walking...

    Nayarit Favorites

Nayarit is about a two-hour drive from Puerto Vallarta. It is the neighbor of Jalisco, another state of Mexico. Nayarit is where Punta de Mita is and the famous Islas Marietas. This is the state where most of the products like beadworks, clothing, etc sold in Puerto Vallarta are coming from. Nayarit offers great experience to travellers because...

El Golfo de Santa Clara

El Golfo de Santa Clara Warnings and Dangers

save your money and major headaches!!!!loose everything here on real estate.I have personal experience with these local terrorists that chase you off your land with molotov cocktails and machetes!!!!!!!!!!!

  • Who goes to El Golfo?

El Golfo de Santa Clara Favorites

If you are searching for a quiet fishing village in Mexico this may not be it. Though it is far enough away from the U.S. to be less commercialized and culturally more authentic, it attracts the off road enthusiast because of the dunes. In town an acceptable mode of transportation is the quad. The term "street legal" has little bearing in this town....

  • Drive trhough Nogales

    Guaymas Transportation

Nogales certainly isn't the poorest place I have ever been, but I don't think I've ever seen so many people living in such miserable conditions. Shacks with tin roofs and old pallets for walls were pretty common. Maybe an old snow fence to keep the chickens in the yard. The people don't seem to care...they rather take their two hour siesta than fix...

    Chihuahua Transportation

I travelled by bus from El Paso / Ciudad Juarez to Chihuahua, along Highway 45 - about 5 hours. Please note: you will need a Tourist Visa if you are travelling outised the Juarez region. You obtain these just over the border - the bus driver will tell you where - obviously take your passport and there's a fee of approximately 20 USD. You tell them...

    Bahía Kino Restaurants

My first night in Kino my friend took me to Jorge's, and it couldn't have been a better start to my week there. We sat in the open patio that walks out onto the beach, and almost had the place to ourselves. As we watched the sun set, we heard beautiful mariachi music coming from inside. The workers were just sitting back, relaxing, singing and...

  • Kino's Black Mountain Top

Bahía Kino Off The Beaten Path

From almost anywhere in Kino, you can see Black Mountain at the end of the beach, with it's stone cross on top. Calling it a mountain might be misleading, because it's not very big, but it's touching the ocean and just a beautiful area. Along the bottom of the mountain and the water is a rocky shoreline that is very fun to explore. I recommend...

    San Felipe Restaurants

You could not have found a better restaurant than what was served from our campsite. It was better than anything we found there or even traveling. There is never anything that we can not make when we all get together and travel like that. As our saying goes, another ***ty camping meal..... You name it, they are all good.

    San Felipe What to Pack

Camping If you camp in the fall, it is very windy so make sure you bring a secure tent. Aside from the things not to forget, make sure you purchase a Baja fishing permit if you plan to fish. You don't want to get caught without a permit... it could really cost a lot and it's not worth it. We got ours from a local fishing store in San Diego. I'm...
