WHEN I WENT THERE I FOUND IT WASN'T AS GOOD AS PALENQUE WAS BUT PERHAPS IS WORTH THE VISIT IF YOU IN THE AREA AT THE TIME. WHEN YOU WALK UP THE TOP PART YOU'LL SEE A GREAT VIEW OF THE JUNGLE AROUND WITH PERHAPS 1 OR 2 OIL RIGS IN SIGHT.
THERE ARE IGUANAS AND LIZARDS ALWAYS RUNNING ABOUT ON THE SITE BUT THEY ARE SO FAST THAT YOU (IN MOST CASES) WILL HAVE NO CHANCE OF PHOTOGRAPHING THEM.
OH, AND WATCH OUT FOR MOSQUITOES AS THE LITTLE BASTARDS WILL ALWAYS HASSLE YOU AND TRY TO BITE YOU.
***** As of Sept 1st the sign was there. We had to travel through Camalcalco to get to Parasio******
Be aware that there is MAY be no sign heading north on Highway 187 to the archeological site marking the right turn to go there. The turn is on the right, approximately 200 yds. past the Villa Maya housing complex (which is on your left). If you see a lake on your left, you have gone too far and need to turn back.
Beware the evil TOPE. These are the Mexican version a one stop light town. These speed bumps on steriods will bottom out your car if you are not careful. GO SLOW and at an angle over them to keep your car safe!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
