Son Jarocho is a type of music from the state of Veracruz, influenced by the indigenous people, the Spanish and African from the early colonial times.

Every Saturday at ~8pm, some local musicians (teacher and students) put on a short performance in the town plaza. It is free, since they are doing it in order to broaden its popularity and trying to keep the traditions alive. There are usually a few people dancing to the music too in traditional costume and style.
