Worth a side trip. The flamingos are spectacular and stop at the petrified forest, only accessible by boat.

The third site was Sayil, definitely worth a longer stay since it’s a huge complex. Among the highlights of Sayil is a 3-story Palace with beautiful Puuc craftsmanship.
