My favorite nightclub is Enigma, because it is smaller than the other clubs. Don't be fooled by the word 'smaller' it is still quite large!!!Though Palladium is amazing it is a much larger version of Enigma. Disco Beach is amazing on Friday nights there is a foam party, and Andromedas is unique in its architecture. DRESS TO IMPRESS!!!
These place were mostly pretty quiet. At Hotel Mision in Cerocahui a couple of guys played the guitar and sang. We were served frozen marguerites and popcorn by the big fireplace. The power is turned off at nine, but someone had started a cozy fire in our little wood stove and lit our oil lantern when we returned to our room. Be sure to look up see the stars from that dark village! Dress is casual, mostly jeans. We wore light hiking boots and took a jacket for evenings in the canyon.
Resort shows are very entertaining alone! But the party continues afterwards. You can stay and party at the resort or join almost 90% of the guests on a trip to one of the local dance clubs. Every night the spotlight is on a different venue. Might be a little expensive to do this every night but this way you get to party at various clubs and bars on different nights. You can always choose which nights and to which bars you want to go. Wear whatever you want - it's Mexico!!!
We paid $20.00 ea. for a VIP pass from a guy on the street (be careful doing this though) it was for your drinks all night and for cover charge and you got to skip to the front of the line. When we got there there was a mile long line waiting to get in we went staright to the front showed our arm bands we bought for $20.00 and they let us in. Needless to say alot of people got pissed because they'd been in line for awhile. It was pretty packed. We met alot of great people here. I can't remember what we wore, or if there was a dress code. I want to say it was no shorts or flip flops, that sort of thing.
Okay, I've travelled all over Mexico and I can tell you one thing, most nightclubs in Mexico are incredible. It's unbelievable the kind of fun one can have. I'll give my top places in Mexico. If you are in Baja California, you must go to Capricho in Mexicali, Baby Rock & Senor Frog's in Tijuana, Carlos O'Brian's and Hard Rock in Puerto Vallarta, El Parian in Tlaquepaque near Guadalajara for a genuine Mexican good time, Extremo and especially Euforia in Uruapan Michoacan, I could go on and on.... The trendier clubs don't have a dance floor. They are more of a social gathering with great drinks and even better music. Dance clubs are great too, though one would expect the music to be terribly outdated or of a fokloric inclination, you'll be pleasantly surprised that it's not so. Capricho in Mexicali, Senor Frog's and Baby Rock in Tijuana could definitely have a go with the best Los Angeles...

Carlos O'Briens - has good music and an awesome crowd. There is no particular age group either which makes it nice to meet various people. Good time guarenteedThe Zoo - the staff here is amazing. There was never more than 1 butt in the ashtray before someone swept it away. The tequila shooter girls were great as well. I was here every night without fail. I don't think it closes until about 5 either. No dress code. Except for no beach attire of course.
Various activity are avaaible at the riviera maya. mostly in playa del carmen during the night.You can also visit one of the sounds and lights shows at the archeological sites. The Picture shows one in Uxmal.
