The waiters tips aren't included, and they expect a good one. Therefore, the lineup for drinks at the bar is a LONG wait!2) A really fun atmosphere, even if it is a bit Americanized in the choice of music and decor. They still know how to do it right! The age group here in La Manzanilla is fairly evenly spread out between 50 plus and under 50. This is not just a retirement community nor is it a hot spot, it has a very special balance. In fact if you were looking for nightlife you would be better off doing the 17-kilometer drive to Melaque or Bara de Navidad. There is fun here but it is usually a family kind of fun around the Jardine (gathering place) on the weekends, a wedding or a 16th birthday party kind of thing. This by no means we don't party here, the Mexicans love to drink and dance and we get some rip roaring parties going. When me and some friends do want to go for a 'night on the town' we will go to Bara de Navidad and have dinner at Sea Masters then walk over to where the have the water taxis over to Isla Navidad. AWESOME!!!!!!!! I can't even describe it..foam nights at clubs, guys spraying alcohol into your mouth..as many pina coladas as you want! yummy!!! usually pretty casual...guys have to wear pants everywhere i think though
Really cool waiters. This guy was one of them. Me and my sister got there early one night and he and his friend were sitting there and invited us to sit with them. I still talk to him too. He learned English after we left! Casual. Especially on foam night!
Andromedas. There are women in just body paint swimming in takes that are in the walls. There's nothing else there like it. They did a live show too some time during the night. I don't remember who though. :)
The outside of this club looks like a ship. Inside there are woman swimming in tanks with mermaid tails and upper body painting. Definately something worth checking out. There was also a band that played for a while during the night. It was a lot different than the other clubs we had been to. Casual. Pants for guys.
There are many, many discos in downtown Puerto Vallarta. You really *cannot* avoid them, in fact. Most of them are chain discos/bars -- you can find identical versions in Cancun, Cabo San Lucas, Miami, etc. But they're roaring party places, and if that's what you're looking for, go for it!If you go to the S. side of town, you'll find places that are a little more authentic, but still pretty Americanized. Either way, if you want to party, you'll have an easy time here.
It's funny because most of the night clubs i went to were awesome so i really don't have a favorite. I really did enjoy the Andromedas and the Enigma. I also liked the alibrijte.All of these places were big and had great views and the men were hot! And the service is amazing you feel like a queen. Most people dressed up to go out.
