Strong easily moveable (wheels, etc.) suitcase. Good carry-on thats strong and easily stowable on the plane. Lots of shorts and comfortable shirts. Lots of changes of underwear. Lots of evening wear. Most resorts have at least a dress code for dinner and sometimes lunch. Sometimes men are required to wear long pants to dinner, and sometimes the ladies are required to wear a dress at dinner.Bring some nice T-shirts to wear in the water when you're sick of burning. A hat is good too.Depending upon your destination resort and or excursions, bring good sandals, some comfortable dress shoes, some athletic shoes, and some type of hiking shoe.Generally you won't need rain wear, maybe something light. You'll die from heat exhaustion if your clothes don't breathe because of the humidity. Usually when it rains it's a welcome feeling.Bring at least a couple of different bathing suits. Pepto,...

Depending on where you're staying..pack accordingly!Resort type places may have a dress code for dinner. For travel around town, eg. for a day of sightseeing, make sure you wear confortable shoes(cobblestone roads) a light backpack, Don't forget your camera !and also have a bottle of water as it can get very hot therefore you should always keep hydrated! I always bring a small first aid kit containing band aids, Visible Aid (first Aid Cream - by Aloette!) Tea Tree Oil, etc. Bikini - and most definitely...SUNSCREEN!!Also recommeded to bring a long sleeve top and long pants as the night can get cool.

I was in Mazatlan for 10 days and all I needed was one carry-on bag and a back pack. Shorts, t-shirts, sandles, a sweatshirt and a good pair of walking shoes.I must admit, I stuffed a seconed piece of soft luggage into my carry-on so I could return with treasures from the many street vendors and shops in the city. Resort Sunscreen. Asprin for a hangover (it is bound to happen, beer is so cheap:-)You are not likely to get sick from the water or the food if you stay in 'touristy' locations, however, pack something for your tummy in case you do have trouble.

Sandals, shorts, t-shirts, hat, and sunglasses. Bring slacks or a simple dress for evenings out. Rain gear would be a good idea. Don't forget your swimsuit! Snorkel gear can be rented. If you dive bring your own regulator for your own peace of mind. Everything else can be rented from your dive operator. Bring meat tenderizer for jellyfish stings. It neutralizes the toxin. Have cortizone cream and an antibiotic cream as well. Bring a good sunscreen! You might want to bring an anti-diarrhea medication. Here's a tip-most diarrhea in travelers to Mexico is not from the water. It's from too much sun and too much alcohol. Use moderation in both. Don't bring expensive cameras to the beach! Use a disposable camera for the sand. What can I say...swimsuit!

I follow the keep it simple and light school of packing philosophy. I have a 35 litre pack which contains a spare set of clothes, a towel, 40 rolls of film, a first aid kit, sleeping sheet, minimal toiletries, polypropolene nightwear (it gets cold up in the sierras) and a torch. That way, I can keep my luggage with me at all times, and it's easy to store under my legs on the Mexican buses. A fleece jumper is definitely needed at this time of year if you're heading to the mountains. Have only got a pair of trainers rather than proper hiking boots and had no trouble so far. Have a first aid kit with my supply of chloroquine tablets, needles and bandages. Buy toiletries on the road, they're similar to back home. All hotels I've stayed in have supplied soap (and usually but not always a towel and toilet paper) Don't know anything about digital cameras, but Mexico is well stocked with...

Special bags are not necessary, only in places with rain possibilities a waterproof fabric bag is sufficient. Hard shoes for explore all terrain. Medical support could be not nearby, you must charge basic medical equipement as: alcohol, gauze bandages, iodine, cotton, ache tablets, penicillin (or similar for infections) and other things. To take several and best photos is necessary 35 mm format (zoom recommended), some regions need sensitive films. Some regions has an extremous wheater could in night and hot in day, other are mostly. sometimes is necessary sun block, money cash, and some maps.

You are in Mexico, in the tropics, but it is a big country and in the wintertime the northern part will get cold, so sweater and jacket are advised in the winter. Same goes for Mexico city, it can be cold in the winter. Everywhere else just light clothing and something warmer for the cool nights. Don't forget your diahrea pills What you got is what you have to bring. It is a photographers dream. Bring loads of film, also slow fine film, there will be enough light. And as for lenses, just anything you have and can carry

For Copper Canyon pack light because you must get your stuff on and off the train. You don't need much anyway. We took jeans and in some areas we hiked in shorts. We hiked a lot so we wore our light hiking boots or tennis shoes the whole time. A jacket was good in the evenings around the canyon. Take lots of film, and if you do video, you might need an extra battery or two. We could always recharge ours at nignt, except at Cerocahui when the power is turned of, but we still had plenty of time to do it in the early evening during dinner. All of the Copper Canyon area hotels we used either had water systems of their own or provided all of the bottled water you wanted. Drinking water was never a problem.
