EAT IN OTHER STATES OF MEXICO

by pedroebc

prices of food will be cheaper in other states in comparation mexico city, Monterrey, Guadalajara.tip normaly is not included and you need to give the 15 per cent of the ticket when you pay in credit card or its a nice restaurant. when you just go to a small local restaurant just leave like 15 or 10 pesos tip.people that are sensitive to stomach problems or just arrived to mexico, avoid hot and spacies food, also not eat vegetables since some places do not desinfect the veggies..if you are worried about the ice cubes in your drinks just ask bottled water..you can not bring inside the restaurant your own water or drinks, since is bad seen..clean your hands or bring your alcohol cleaner hands for traveler... ask if they have just in case menu in english...maybe....being patient with the waiters since service will be more slow in some cities out of big cities. more slower service in the...

Barcelona's tapas - Puerto Vallarta: Favourite restaurant

by tersms

We didn't have a bad meal the whole 14 days we were in PV, but this was one of our favourites. You order tapas (appies) suggested 3-4 per person. The view is spectacular, make sure you get there early enough to see the sunset. Reservations highly suggested if you want a nice view table. The desserts are to die for as well. Garlic shrimp... banana, butterscotch and ice cream dessert.

Pollo Feliz: Best Chicken Anywhere!

by mexvisitor

Absolutely mouth watering barbecue chicken...the best I have ever had anywhere. The aroma attracts you from blocks away. Nice hot flour tortillas are served along with the chicken and as well as a chile pepper to add some spice if you want.

El Moreno: Best Taco Stand in Puerto Vallarta

by anchornm

Located in Old Town / Southside -- El Moreno is a taco stand (Street Vendor) that is nothing more than a cart parked on the corner.I can't recall the dates, but a few years ago, I was asking how long they had been there, and the answer was 26 years. The whole family works in the stand. They are 2 blocks South of the rope bridge at the Isla Cuale. (the one that goes to Rizzo's Supermarket, a block South of Rizzo, at the corner of Francisco I Madero and ConstitucionI thoroughly suggest that people visit Southside while in Puerto Vallarta -- it is much more genuine, altho there are the usual chain bars like Senor Frogs and such as you get closer to Los Muertos Beach (which I suggest as well). They are closed on ThursdaysFor GPS fans - You will find them at:20°36'15.76"N105°14'5.72"W I like the adobada tacos, but my girlfriend likes the quesadillas.I love em "cimarrón" or "sencillo" which...

COSTA BRAVA RESTAURANT: BEST BREAKFAST IN COZUMEL

by jake22

THE COSTA BRAVA RESTAURANT IS A TYPICAL MEXICAN RESTAURANT, FREQUENTED BY LOCAL TAXI DRIVERS, AND DIVE SHOP EMPLOYEES. IT IS VERY COLORFUL, NOT AS QUAINT AS THE OLD LOCATION ACROSS FROM THE NAVAL STATION, BUT MANY OF THE DECORATIONS WERE BROUGHT TO THE NEW ONE. MY FAVORITE IS THE #1 BREAKFAST SPECIAL FOR 22 PESOS. [$1 = 9.2 PESOS] THIS CONSISTED OF BREAD, BUTTER WITH JELLY TO START THEN HUEVOS RANCHERO WITH THE EVER PRESENT MUSHED BLACK BEANS AND SMALL SALAD, WITH TORTILLAS, SALSA, ORANGE JUICE, AND COFFE OR TEA. I HAVEN'T FOUND THE RANCHEROS ANYWHERE WHICH WILL COMPARE WITH THESE

Alhambra Hotel: Great food and decor!

by HayleyP

This restaurant isn't very large and we only went there for lunch, but we had the best food there of all our 2 weeks in Mexico. The decor is lovely - I think it's new and it seemed very clean. The toilets even smelt nice (a rarity in Mexico with their poor sewage system - toilet paper in the bins). We shared a seafood platter for one (which was huge) and fajitas which were both lovely! I also had a very nice papaya juice. We wished we'd found it earlier than our last day! It's also right on the beach so you get to enjoy sea views. The Seafood platter had amazing squid (or octopus, not sure) and big huge juicy prawns among lots of other things! Very good value too, I'm sure it wasn't very much money at all.

Susannes Rosarito Beach: Best Rosarito has to offer

by PeacefulBaja

The menu is a dream. Beef, seafood, local dishes, appetizers that are not found anywhere else, wines and desserts without equal. The ambience is so welcoming, part inside, part out, funky and classy all at the same time. The owner, Suzanne is a "Gringa" who is hands on, a delighful hostess, versed in local wines and totally devoted to her customers.Every dish we have ordered over our several visits has been excellent. This is the place we take all our visitors! Sparerib appetizer - The flavors are outstanding with grilled pineapple and the spicy sauce to keep your taste buds guessing.

Meat connection

by ant1606

If you're a meat lover, dining in Mexico can certainly meet yor criteria. Not only the regular cuts, you can try some "tripa" or "lengua" (tongue) as well cooked in several fashions.Different sauces to choose from and rice, beans, lettuce, tomato, onion, cilantro, cheese to accompany, and the omnipresent wheat or corn tortillas."Horchata" is among my favorite drinks made with water, milk, rice and cinnamon. Delicious despite its murky look.Buen provecho!
