by John195123

Well, in the Chihuahua bus station, there is a 24-hour place that sells drinks (14 pesos for a 1.5liter water bottle, about 9 pesos or so for a 20 oz coke) yogurt, burritos (which are good) and nachos (also good, especially at 4 am in the morning when even the thought of playing another game of Solitaire is almost tempting suicide... hehe.Bus station...

by John195123

Cafeteria Gaby was the first restaurant we went to in Creel. They have a 'two hamburger, fries and a coke for 30 pesos deal. After not eating any real food for two days, we took that deal, and I must say the burgers there... quite good. Watch out for the lettuce, although we weren't too careful and had no problems. The woman who owns/runs the place makes a good burger, a bit greasy, and filling, using good, local Menonite cheese. The fries are fresh, and the service is fast. Basically you feel like you are in her home, only with more than one dinner table, and your feeling is right. Nice decor. Hamburguesas!

by Reneej

Sr. Frogs is the hot place for everyone. The foods great and you can slide thru the resterant for free above everyone eating on a water slide. My teen son had a blast with that. Tell them it's your birthday and see what you get? It's ok for kids till around 8pm. Then the music and dancing starts getting a little crazy.Atmosphere is a very open feeling. But all is inside from what I could see. All of it! We all shared what we got and I can't remember all the food. It was all sooo good.

Pat O'Brien's - Cancun: Pat O'Brien's - Cancun

by wdechent

It has open exposure on two sides facing the inland water, for a nice view. There is a a water fountain with fire coming out of the center. The water fountain shoots water in 360 degrees around the fire, just missing it. The waiters balance your drinks on their heads, sometimes balancing three drinks high--que loco! And every night they play the instrumental 'Sirius' by Alan Parson's Project.

beach_freak's Restaurant Tip

by beach_freak

Hotelito's palapa-topped restaurant and bar overlook the lagoon, serves breakfast buffet and elegant dinners. Lunch is served at Hotelito's Beach club. El Nopalito is an oasis overlooking 40 miles of unspoiled beach that extends on either side. Float in the ingenious saltwater pool—margarita by your side—with the sound of the crashing Pacific Ocean just steps away….

by TempNomad

Hacienda Temozon is a gorgeous hotel with a delicious restaurant. We only went there for a fantastic breakfast, but we were able to enjoy the grounds after eating. The terrace (as you can see) is lovely and looks out onto a decorative pool. You can find more information out about the Haciendas by doing a search for Hacienda + Mexico. This one is located between Merida and Uxmal. It's a luxury hotel, and the staff is very down-to-earth. We had a great experience all around. Someday, when I'm rich and famous, I'll stay there. The Huevos Rancheros were divine, but that's also my favorite meal. There was also fabulous Cafe con Leche and pan dulce.

by TempNomad

Jardin de los Aves (I THINK it's still in existence!)The terrace is adorable, lots of birds. It's inexpensive, friendly, and away from the margarita pawning and swilling crowds. Bizarre for Cancun. It's all good! They make everything as you order it, and they were very accomodating to my vegetarian needs and desires.

by Grechn

My favorite restaurant is called La Dolce Vita and is located on Kulkukan Boulevard right in the Hotel Zone.It s located overlooking the Lagoon and it is very picturesque. The sunsets here are beautiful. My favorites at this restaurant are it's seafood selections but it is known for it's Italian food.

Los Milagros: Los Milagros

by tkmrd5

We were seated in a beautiful courtyard that has four walls with vines trailing up them and the roof was open so you see the beautiful sky. There was a huge tree in the middle providing shade so the hot afternoon sun wasn't beating down on you. So pretty! We were the only ones eating there, which at first worried us, but then we realized that it was during their siesta time, which we never adjusted to. I ordered a dish that was a steak on top of a cactus leave and covered in 3 different mole' sauces and that wonderful white mexican cheese. It may not sound the most appetizing but it was fantastic!

El Abajeno in the artsy village of Tlaquepaque just outside of Guadalajara, Jalisco. This former colonial mansion has been turned into a beautiful outdoor restaurant under tall shade trees with a nice waterfall and excellent mariachis on Saturday and Sunday afternoons....and actually on a Friday afternoon when we were there. Carne Asada and enchiladas are tasty.
