Los Arcos Marine Natural Area

by traveldave

Located in the waters of Banderas Bay off Mismaloya, about seven miles (12 kilometers) south of Puerto Vallarta, Los Arcos Marine Natural Area is a 74-acre (30-hectare) preserve which protects numerous species of fish, coral, and the breeding grounds of pelicans, boobies, and other seabirds. The main attraction of the preserve is its five rocky islets that range from 15 feet (five meters) to 150 feet (46 meters) in height. Three of the islets have natural arches (arcos) that give the preserve its name. It is believed that Los Arcos may once have been a peninsula that over time eroded into the five islets that remain today.Los Arcos Marine Natural Area is popular with snorkelers and divers, who come to explore the preserve's arches, caves, tunnels, and coral reefs. "Booze cruises" which take guests out in boats and serve unlimited alcohol also pass the arches as they continue on to a...

Puerto Escondido is a beach town on the mexican pacific coast with a big party vibe abd a good surf, so it´s a very youngish place. There are a few beaches to chose from in Puerto Excondido all depending on your taste and you have both party beaches and quiet beaches for couples and families.I am sure you can find many opinions about Puerto Escondido, but in my opinion this is the most fun beachtown in Mexico.

the tradition comes in our ancestors civilizatiosn in Mexico.. teotihuacans, aztecs, mayas, zapotecs, etcThey never felt afraid to die and all the ancestors got the perception to another life or dimension, thats why they where used some masks and tools for the dead person, to be recognised for the gods and tools for their new life.Mexicans we keep with respect this date to remember all our closers who died and also to remind to love the ones who are alive. The best spots for day of dead are STATE OF MICHOACAN : Janitzio and TzintzuntzanMEXICO CITY : Museo Dolores Olmedo, Mixquic, zocalo area downtownOAXACA CITY local cementeriesMORELOS STATE: Tepoztlan cementeryDAY OF DEADS MEXICO CITY

Tulum, and Chichen Itza

by ilovenewjersey

Just went to Cancun this Month(July), the heat was excruciating. Another advice for those who're going to Tulum, wear light clothing, hats, sneakers(lots of walking), bring water bottles, and don't forget to bring an UMBRELLA to cover yourself from the sun since there's hardly any shades in the ruin. We have to pay $15 for a defective umbrella before going in. Sun blockers are too sticky, and I feel like my sweat glands are blocked by these sun blockers. I was fine with my umbrella, leave your sun blockers in the hotel. Tulum boast its nice beach, sands are finer than in Cancun and whiter, so bring your bathing suits if you want to swim.Chichen Itza, about 2.5 hrs away from Cancun is more well preserved than Tulum. You may still need your umbrella, it rained so hard while we were doing our tour. Thank goodness we didn't have to pay $10 for a poncho. There's more shades and trees around...

Ocosingo - Tonina

by nepalgoods

Ocosingo - a name as if out of an adventure book! Ococingo is a not very spectacular typical Mexican village with a big plaza in the middle - the Zocalo, where the people meet in the evening and dance to the music of the Mariachi. On a hill not far away are the ruins of the Mayan City of Tonina. They are not visited by many tourists, as they are not as famous as all the other big Mayan places. But it is beautiful location and a good place to hear the birds and feel the spirit.A little bit more about Tonina you'll find in my travelogue aboutTonina
