Departed Wendover for Las Vegas driving through the scenic and lovely mountains of Eastern Nevada. We stopped in the high mountain town of Ely, Nevada where one can buy lunch or snacks. Many Hollywood films were staged in Ely because of it's rugged surroundings. Here we had 3 full days to enjoy all that Vegas has to offer with plenty of time to relax if you want to. Divine Scenery

by Crack23

I went to see Yosemite National Park in California and it was amazing. The scenery was so beautiful but even to see bear proof bins was fantastic!! Lake Tahoe on the border of California and Nevada is also a must. The whole of Nevada is very beautiful with amazing sunsets. Of course the Grand Canyon in Arizona is a must. Its quite overwhelming how big it is.

San Francisco, California

by Kristina1701

San Francisco is definitely my favorite city in the United States. When I was a kid I used to listen to Scott McKenzie's "San Francisco" and from that time on I had always wanted to go there. I also had a poster of the Golden Gate Bridge in my room. In 1998 I finally made it to San Francisco and just loved it; there's so much to do and see and it's a pity our time there was very limited. Seeing the Golden Gate Bridge in real was awesome and I also loved strolling through Golden Gate Park, the seafront (Pier 39, Fisherman's Wharf,...) or just along the hilly streets of the city and enjoying the great architecture. I hope to come back for a longer stay one day to see every corner of this beautiful and surely unique city.
