  • Sports Walk of Fame

    Auburn University is very important to the city of Auburn and sports is very important to the university. There is a Sports Walk of Fame along College Street honoring sports stars of the university (not sure why Bob wasn't there). You may recognize the name of the guy in Photo 3.

  • Toomer's Corners

    In addition to Toomer Oaks (used to be), Toomer Drugstore there was another famous building on Toomer Corners. Businessman and former Senator Sheldon Toomer also started the Bank of Auburn here in 1907.

  • Auburn United Methodist Church

    Perhaps the most historic church in Auburn is the Auburn United Methodist Church. It was established in 1836 by Judge John Harper and a couple of the other founders of the town. This congregation was instrumental in getting Auburn University started. Beautiful building too.
