This is not the place to go if you are on a real tight budget; but if you can spend a little extra the seafood is quite good. The name came from a small group of islands in the Bahamas occupied by people known for their hospitality, love of music, and joy of life. The decor invokes the islands and there was a nice deck in the back with a beautiful view of Mobile Bay. They serve wine, beer, frozen daquiris and Pina Coladas. Hours are 11 AM to 9 PM Monday Thursday and 11 AM to 10 PM Friday through Sunday. They also have live music from 6 PM to 9 PM Friday and Saturday.
If you have plenty of money try the Compleat Angler Platter with fish, crawfish, oysters, shrimp, conch fritters and a stuffed crab for $22.
Favorite Dish: Compleat Angler Platter. Lots of food well prepared.

Hooters is best known for their wings and the cute women running around in bright orange short shorts and Hooters T-Shirts. The food is usually good enough, the selection of beers fine, and the women quite attractive. Decor tends to center around a bar atmosphere and sports.
Favorite Dish: The hot wings were pretty good and actually spicy.

Manci's is a unique find. What else would you expect if Food Network found it and presented it on "Diners, Drive-ins and Dives"?!
The restaurant was not always a restaurant. It was purchased by the Italian Manci family in the 1920's as a general warehouse store. Somehow, over the decades, they managed to keep the business afloat, but never got rid of the store's stock...
The walls and ceiling are covered with memorabilia from the old days. There a rickshaw in the corner. They have the worlds largest collection of Jim Beam decanters, there's a Native American mannequin in the men's room and a Greek statue in the women's. There are tools, gadgets, household goods and everything else imaginable still on display. Its as if you are dining in a place that has a hard time deciding to be an antique interior decorator or a museum.
Open 11am ~10pm daily, until 9pm on Sunday.
Favorite Dish: The meals are good, old fashioned American fare. The burgers, like the Gwen Ultimate or the mushroom burger are quite a handful, a bit messy and delicious. Their 7oz stake is in reality more like a 12oz, thick and juicy. Depending on what you order, you get it on a plate or a tray with paper. They definitely spend their profit in other ways than white linens and soft music.

If you are ever in Daphne or Mobile, Al, stop by this place to eat. They are by far one of the best restaurants in the area. It is two restaurants in one building. Guido's is a mix of Italian & Mediterranean, with a lot of fresh seafood dishes. Vinny's has pizza's, sandwiches and salads. It always has a soup and a pasta special of the day. Everything is homemade from the sauces to the pizza dough. You really can't go wrong with anything you order. And the fresh bread :), with balsamic vinegar, oil and spices to dip it in, YUMMY. Lunch prices range from $6 to $9, and portions are huge!
Favorite Dish: The grilled yellowfin tuna sandwich, with a choice of greek salad, pasta salad or roasted potatoes, anyone of those is an awesome side.

The Pub, is a landmark in Fairhope, a southern suburb of Daphne.
The interior has a mix of tall bar tables with stools and regular wood tables. It serves lunch and dinner starting at 11am.
But on Fridays and/or Saturday nights, its a lot more lively since the small stage brings good talented bands. The locals, despite the motley mix of people, all know how to have a good time. Some drinks, some music, dancing and a lot of fun.
Dress Code: The dress code is completely casual. There may be business suits and cowboys raising toasts to each other.

I will say that a lot of kids do hang out at the Eastern Shore Center, but first let me get one thing straight; The Eastern Shore Center is not located in Daphne, it is located in Spanish Fort, but that is a matter of semantics. There are a lot of great places to eat, hang out, and a wonderful movie theater there, that is why they hang out. I would also like to say that I have NEVER seen thousands of them there. Perhaps there was a special event occurring that day.
I am a resident of Daphne, AL and take offense to the small minded comment that Daphne kids are rude and out of control. I shop at the Eastern Shore Center more than I care to tell my husband and have NEVER witnessed any rude children/teens, inappropriate behavior, or drug deals before my eyes. The worst thing I ever saw was a girl sneaking off to her boyfriends car after her father had dropped her off to see a movie.
Daphne, Spanish Fort, and Fairhope kids are great kids, eager to help people in need, socially conscious, and friendly, I am not naive enough to think that there are NO bad children in this area, but I will say that it is very strong verbiage to say that they are all rude. That is inappropriate.
Please do not judge our town by the small-minded comment above. The Eastern Shore in it's entirety is a wonderful place to visit, the people are warm, welcoming and friendly. Our weather is amazing and our history is interesting. Can y'all tell I am glad I moved here?
