big bob gibson's bar-b-q has been a decatur institution since 1925. they offer very good pork, chicken, and beef alabama style bar-b-q. their ribs in my opinion rival dreamland's in tuscaloosa. bib bob gibson's is one of the best bar-b-q restaurants in alabama.

You miss Formosa, the greatest Chinese in town? They're now called CHINA TOWN. Same great sizzling chicken rice soup, mystic mu shu pork, Peking Chicken that's finger-licking good.
Waterfountain area.

From 6th Ave, turn right at the dancing neon pig in a chef's hat. It's a seat yourself, elbows on the table joint. Notice the chest-high BBQ award pillars that surround the cash register.
Big Bob Gibson's does a roaring mail-order business, too, with 3 signature sauces.
Favorite Dish: I like the bbq turkey with white sauce.
I also get the pork-bbq-stuffed baked potato. Hubby always orders their large combo meat platter. *bleh*
