Really fun place if in Mobile, Orange Beach or even, like us, Biloxi/Gulfport! I had never ever experienced a place that has "passarounds". They come around while you are eating what you ordered, with extra stuff like fried okra, boiled cabbage, macaroni and tomatoes, home fried potatoes and more FOR FREE! They tell you not to order that stuff cause its free, duh. They have special servers that come around with hot yeast rolls and they actually throw them around the room hoping you will catch it when it hones in on you..."Hot Rolls!" they yell right before tossing a few across the room to the folks holding up their hands...the servings of the food you order are huge, some being brought out in big skillitts! One other "cutesie" thing is, they come around with a pitcher of solid something that looks like it has Coke in it, and pretends to spill it on one unlucky someone in your party---all in good fun! Prices are amazingly low for the amount of food, and you can take the leftovers home with you!

This place is awesome. You are given generous portions and the atmosphere is relaxing. This particular Lambert's is 8 miles north of Gulf Shores beach. Family friendly.
Favorite Dish: My favorite dish is the Chicken Fried Round Steak. I've had this at two different Lambert's and it was excellent at both.
It's a large portion of chicken fried round steak and mashed potatoes covered with milk gravy and served with your choice of 2 vegetables. Come hungry!

Lambert's is a place to stop for good food and fun. There is usually a wait at lunch time or supper time. Lambert's is open 10:30 Am to 6Pm. They provide "pass arounds" at no charge to those ordering from the menu. The servers bring these "extras" in pots or containers that provide fried okra, fried potatoes, macaraoni and tomatoes and sorghum and honey and black-eye peas.
You will be amazed by the large portions!
And just for fun, they also throw rolls around the place. Just hold up your hand and hope you can catch one!
Favorite Dish: I really do enjoy the rolls and the macaroni and tomatoes. They serve different chicken dishes, beef and pork. They also have a good selection of fish.

Favorite thing: The weather is warm most of the time. Is a great town for representation of the old South...wonderful pecan groves and palm trees. The people are friendly...we have developed friends there we've been friends with for 18 years and just about 4-5 years ago we have some friends who live where we do that moved there. Food around town is great..and the beach is nearby.

Foley is a nice little town about 8 miles north of Gulf Shores. There are lots of antique shops here and several good restaurants. Gulf Shores is another beautiful beach on the Florida -Alabama area...
My wife's Dad wanted to come here from Biloxi, so we drove over (about 1 1/2-2 hours)for lunch on a thursday===
