West Beach Bar and Grille: Island Theme, Sports, Good Drinks

by Basaic Written Feb 6, 2015

$3 in January 2015. This place is associated with the Beachside Resort Hotel. It is an island themed bar with a few bigscreen TVs showing sports. The service was good the rum and coke well-prepared and the cost reasonable. In January it attracts an older crown (say 55 and up).

Dress Code: Casual, shorts and T-shirts weather permitting.

    FloridaBama: FloridaBama

    by CptCrunch767 Written Mar 9, 2007

FloridaBama is one of the coolest bars ive ever been to, it has a cover charge but its worth it. people who are not 21 can get in with a larger cover charge and wear a bracelet saying they are not 21. its on the boarder of florida and alabama...

this place is made up of several bars put together, one area for hip hop/rap music, one with pianos facing each other and they go back and forth against each other, one bar playing reggae music, anouther playing country and so on.... this place is huge! our favorite part was the one with the two pianos facing off because they would play school songs if you gave them money and we kept challenging other schools there, until it turned into a drinking contest... were from wisconsin guess who won, haha . also the bartenders in the piano bar part all get up on the bar and shoot flames from their mouths, and they are all cute girls doing this , pretty wild

it was only a half hour or 45 min there from our house in gulf shores and to think we were not going to make the drive there!

Dress Code: what you would wear out to a club

after the drinking contest... and we won hurray beer! outside floridabama dancin the pianos and bar tenders dancing

Florabama: Lets Head to the State Line!

    by Jmill42 Written Nov 22, 2002

    3.5 out of 5 starsHelpfulness

The Florabama is the famous club of this area. They have live music on several different stages, pretty much every night. Its always crowded on weekends and during the summer or holidays. The music ranges, but has a big emphasis on local acts. Its the best place in this area, so if you are going out... check it out!

    Dress Code: Whatever... its Florida!

Barefoot (Tell Mike and Butch that Kelly and Kelly from WI say 'Hi'!)
Flora-Bama is just unique- that's all I can say. They can feature up to 3 or 4 bands at the same time in different rooms... you can be inside or out.
Barefoot is just a great time with excellent bartenders! This is newly remodeled with an outside deck.
T-Bonz is more of a night-club, dancing atmosphere.

Dress Code: Anything goes at all of these places.
