There are 2 malls in Mobile. There are, very generically speaking, 3 regions to the city of Mobile. West Mobile, Midtown and Downtown. All are pretty big. But these 2 malls are RIGHT across the street from each other. I find this silly. The Springdale Mall and the Bel Air Mall DO have different stores and for my preferences, I shop mostly at the Bel Air mall. However, I go over the Springdale Mall for the attached or unattached shops surrounding the mall like Barnes and Noble bookstore (Mobile is lacking in local bookstores)
What to buy: Special items? I don't know...it depends on what you want. The thing is, if you don't find it at one mall, just go right across the street to the other. Pretty simple.
What to pay: Keep in mind the tax in Mobile (the city) 9% on all mall items.

This has nothing to do with a shop in particular, but the sales tax w/in the city limits. It's 9% on anything but food and I believe food is 10%. OUTSIDE of the city, it's 7%. West Mobile has grown a lot, there are restaurants, places to shop, movie theaters and other entertainment west of the city limits (meaning west of Cody Rd) so I suggest going there.
