pictured is a man made lake which were once the shoals of the tombigbee river. in the 1930's the limestone from this site was mined and sent to new orleans louisiana for road bed material. sadly many ancient fossils and native american relics are now located under the streets of new orleans. today this lake offers a boat ramp for boating and fishing.
