Tuscumbia Things to Do

I visited the Spring Park Farmer's Market in Tuscumbia for the first time yesterday. The minute I opened the car door the festive music hinted at the atmosphere. When I approached the rows of white tents I found a wonderful mix of gorgeous fresh vegetables, homemade jams, aroma gels & soaps, fresh honey, homemade dip mixes, fudge, goat cheese, fresh sourdough bread and much more! The lines were the longest at the sourdough bread stand so I had to try a loaf. I also picked up some veggies and goat cheese. Tonight's dinner will be marinated grilled vegetables and goat cheese on toasted sourdough. Sounds good - huh?
The market also offers train rides and a carosel for the kids. There are trolly rides to downtown Tuscumbia. I missed the cooking demonstration, but will be sure catch it next time. The Market is open Thursday evenings between 4pm and 7pm and extends through Sept. 29, 2005.

    Aisles of yummy treats!
