Yes this is a ski resort, but in the summer the lift still goes. You can take your bike to the top or bottom, depending on which way you want to ride up the 2300ft elevation. We were surprised to find out it was that low, but it does start at almost sea level. The views from the top are breath taking, including the 7 different glaciers that can be seen. And if you ride it after 7pm, the price goes down.

The pools of water are very deep. Watch for wildlife taking a drink.

This is a place with a combined menu for both vegans and those who eat meat. The space is beautiful with a glassed in patio. The food is very different and not easy to describe. It is also very good. We had a wonderful lunch in the glassed in porch. It was bright and a comfortable atmosphere to be able to talk.

Favorite Dish: It was the deserts

Sorry, cannot praise this road too much... It is Seward Highway, taking you from Anchorage to Girdwood and Alyeska and even Kenai if you want to go down South.

It is spectacular, gorgeous, so beautiful and breath taking.

    Bird viewing along the way
