During the summer, Anchorage holds a Saturday market in the parking lot at 3rd Avenue and E Street. At the market, vendors sell crafts, produce and ethnic foods.

It isn't a super secret spot for picking berries. Everyone who is anyone goes up and picks berries each fall.

Here is the view of Sleeping Lady and downtown Anchorage from the road.

Baleen Ship

The Alaskan natives are skilled craftsmen. Support them by buying authentic crafts. I recommend the Baleen woven baskets, made from baleen which is part of a whale's mouth.

Typical Palmer (Valley Folk) transportation

Don't forget your rebel flag, gunrack and huge bigass tires. Don't worry about a custom license plates, everyone will know and recognize you as being from the Valley.
