Dogs are abundant in Girdwood, and most are unleashed. This means that they can go and get themselves pretty dirty. If you are travelling with you beloved pet and want him fresh for the rest of your travels, stop by and see Cara at "U Dirty Dog" on Girdwood's Town Square. Cara will give your dog a bath.
She also carries foods and suppliments for your pet.

Hey, does that guy have a license?! It is not uncommon to see dogs in the driver's seat while in girdwood. They take their responsabilities seriously for beings man's best friend, and since most don't drink, they make an excellent choice as a "designated driver".

There are lots of dogs in Girdwood, and many are unleashed, so do be careful while driving.
There are even dogs is some of the shops. This shot is taken inside the "Great Alaskan Tourist Trap" which is located on the old Girdwood Townsite. Connie runs the shop while Chris leads snowmobile tours.
