I always try to find the place the locals hang out when I visit a town to get the real feel for a place. In Girdwood, this is Chair 5. Went two nights, the first being Monday night which was packed as all the cheese heads were out cheering on the Packers. The second time was a Wednesday night which was much quieter.
The Bar area holds about 100 people if you pack them tight. The restaurant side has about 10-12 tables and looked to be busy as well.
Like any ski town, Girdwood has a great blend of humanity - from ski bums just living hand to mouth until the snow comes to folks that just like the ambiance and work full time.

Very casual.

After a hard, but thoroughly enjoyable, day on the slopes, relax in the salt waters of the whirlpool, and ease those weary muscles. From 10 till 11 it is adults only in the spa!

This is what I picture when I think of a ski lodge, snow bunnies in a hot tub!!

Start off wearing the robes provided with your room, but underneath it is bare as you dare. Every thing from thongs to a one-piece.

Please choose your spa-wear according to your body type, or intent for the evening.

No street shoes in the pool area!
