The safety briefing and waiver signing takes long enough that you're almost sober though.
You don't really jump off a cliff, it is more like a fast sprint down a fairly steep slope.
Usually runs $185, but they paid $100 each as it was a last minute thing. They both raved about the experience for days afterwards. Really was a great ride down the mountain and they have never killed anyone - so they say.

 Hiking on Mt. Alyeska by mcpangie
The "path" we chose wasn't a path. We were cutting through brush, so make sure to wear sturdy boots. The mountainside is mostly groomed due to being a ski resort, so it's a climb that needs little equipment. Keep in mind that the mountain can have snow up top fairly late into the summer, so the higher you go the more layers you may need.
As you can see from my picture, another popular sporting activity from the top of Mt. Alyeska down is para-sailing. I’ve never done that, just watched them run and take these leaps into the air. So, if you're so inclined, bring your para-sailing thing.
