I had to put this picture in as a warning/danger; I saw this lady bending over to use the telescope which is intended for the handicapped. There are other telescopes for people who are upright, but always keep your camera ready for a great shot.
This is taken from the scenic viewing area on the hill just as you enter Homer on Route 1. The pull off has ample parking and gardens in case the viewing rails are too crowded.

If you do go out on a fishing charter, you will most likely wear a cap and sunglasses. BEWARE: If you shave your head, you might not want to take your cap off in public!!
I took this picture in Duncan's, and the poor fellow didn't know I took it. I don't think there is enough evidence to identify him, so I am posting this picture. If your friends see this, Sorry, Fella.

Being in the coastal region of Alaska, there will be lots of rain in Homer especially during the summer months. The weather in Alaska is generally unpredictable and changes very fast, so do come prepared.

If you are going to be on a fishing boat and you get sea sick, make sure you take medicine or use some other preventative measure other wise it will ruin your whole trip. Trust me, I know from experience!
