From the top of Kalsin Hill you can see the Marin Mountain range and the whole Kalsin Beach. Somedays it is so foggy that you can't see 5 feet in front of your face!! There are several scenic overlooks in the area. Recently the road has been improved with guardrails as there have been many accidents in the past of vehicles going off the 200-300 foot cliffs!! The road can have plenty of potholes though!
If you look in the photo just behind in the beach you can see small little "ponds". These areas can be wet for walking if you don't have rubber boots on. There are some trails but even these cross through water. The area is so flat and close to the bay and the river that unless there is a severe drought they never dry up.
If you visit Kalsin Bay during late August and into September this will be a common scene that you will notice as you stand on the Olds River Bridge. Fisherman finding their own "Secret" spots up and down the Olds River. They will be stalking the Silver Salmon that are prized for their acrobatic skills and powerful fights!! They taste pretty good too!
