Village Bar: Lively local spot
I've only lived in kodiak for 10 days now so I have yet to see all that it's nightlife has to offer. But the majority of night clubs are located in or near the mall - right by the small boat harbor.
One such spot is The Village. It seems that Kodiak is blind to age differences. Seated around the Village are folks of all ages. Young locals and coast guardsmen who don't look 21 to old crusty fishermen. And they all interact with each other in a friendly way.
The Village wasn't very crowded the night I went, but nor was it so empty as to make you wonder what might be wrong with the place. 5 TVs on various sports with one always tuned to the hunting channel.
I've heard they put out a great breakfast buffet spread on Sunday mornings during football season.

Dress Code: Anything goes! Kodiak is a pretty casual town.
The Village Bar: Center of the Universe
The Village runs many programs, from wine nights, and live music, to sports on the big screen. You can hear a lot of stories in Alaska and if Bill tells 'em, you're sure to be entertained.
