Point Lay Travel Guide

My favorite place to eat, outside of home, is my neighbor's, the Kirns. Marie's Place is the only public eating joint. They serve pizza, pop, burgers and I think shakes. I need to get there again, and I'm sure I will once my family joins me.

Fondest memory: This picture shows a very memorable experience (if not fondest). Point Lay is reputedly the only place a man was eaten by a polar bear. Residents don't hesitate therefore to insure the opposite. This Polar Bear being skinned was sighted and shot 5/23/02 and provided many a nice meal in the village. The meat was surprisingly good.
