Main Street Cafe: Great Meal in Talkeetna
One of the best meals I've had in Alaska!!!! Everything was fresh, the food presentation was beautiful, and the service was attentive but relaxed!
Favorite Dish: The oriental glazed Salmon was fantastic. For dessert, try the carrot cake!!!

The Talkeetna Roadhouse: Visit This Historic Building
This picture was taken in January 1998. I haven't eaten there in awhile, so my impressions are based on the past. Historically, when I was growing up they did the family restaurant deal where everyone sat down and at the same thing for dinner. Part of the charm of this place is still that it's a historic building, that and from time to time the locals gather and make wonderful music (some of which you can download for free on the Internet).
Favorite Dish: My favorite thing to eat at the Roadhouse was always cinnamon rolls. I belive they still make those there.

Main Street Cafe: E Pluribus Unum
The Main Street Cafe is another of Talkeetna's numerous eateries, where the sojourner can slake his thirst on a frosty draft or eat a meal fit for a king. Some of the dining can occur on the patio, provided your behavior does not get too unruly, or you can dine and drink inside, provided you don't strip off your clothes. Even though this is rural Alaska, there are still some rules you must obey.
Talkeetna Alaskan Lodge: The Swankiest Dining in Town
Located a little south of town proper, the Talkeetna Lodge offers the swankiest in formal and informal accommodations in a 100-mile radius. Whether you're here to stay the night or just to dine, the lodge offers full breakfast, Alaska lunch menus and their "formal Foraker restaurant" for full-service dinners.

Talkeetna Roudhouse: Talkeetna Roudhouse
This place almost reminds you of 'grandma's house'. The food is just quality home cooked and the prices are good.
Favorite Dish: We both had sandwiches (which are huge, a 1/2 could satisfy your average hunger). The homeade lemonade and cookies are just awesome.
