Brewery Avenue Designs: Bisbee T-shirts and more

I was too late in Bisbee to do shopping and watch art in local galleries. But Brewery Avenue Designs was, too my surprise, open althugh it was about 6 pm, I think. It was the only store open that time in Bisbee or maybe its owner just came to close it. The next door BizzArt Galleries was unfortunatelly closed. I saw aome interesting artworks displayed behind its window and fence. Do not skip it - 30 local artists in various mediums are represented there. Both stores are located in pretty renovated, historic buildings.

The Brewery Avenue Designs, Inc is the maker of custom Bisbee products which include t-shirts, jackets, denims, hats, aprons, and afghans. A second location can be found at 307 Arizona Street. It provides wholesale screen printing and embroidery services.

What to buy: This little story located in beautiful historic building was full of Bisbee T-shirts both for kids and adults. I liked some black and white and blue ones with grey-black panoramic view over the town.

What to pay: Inexpensive. I can't remember exact price but it was about $5 - $10 per Bisbee T-shirt, depends on size and pattern.

Locally owned and operated: Candle Moon Co.

This candle shop is managed by the mother of the candle maker. These candles last a long time and have wonderful scents. Grab a brochure to learn how to get your pillars to last there longest and not tunnel.

What to buy: Oil lanterns, candles and candle accessories. Oh, and get a 'dipper' so you can drown the wick so you smell the candle and not smoke when it's time to put out the lights.

This a large shop on Main Street that has many, many different kinds of metal sculptures done by local artist Jason Kihl. Some are southwest inspired, others reflect Jason's paternal side and his sense of humor.

What to buy: There are so many to choose from & it depends on what you are willing to spend.

What to pay: Prices range from less than $10 for smaller items to thousands of dollars for the unique large pieces.

Large antique store. Don't forget to check out the upstairs too! Many different kinds of vintage items from many decades.

What to buy: Although they are not antiques, a local artist makes rubber stamps that are just so cool. Our Lady of The Rubber Stamps can custom make your own design too. Each stamp has her contact information on it.

What to pay: It depends on what you find!
