    Cracker Barrel: Great Comfort Food

by Basaic Updated Apr 27, 2015

    2.5 out of 5 starsHelpfulness

Cracker Barrel. $12 as of April 2015. I returned here in April 2015 (3rd visit). Still great. This was a typical Cracker Barrel, which to me means it's very good. The atmosphere is homey and the staff efficient and friendly. The negative side is that it is hard to find and to get to. The signs do not tell you what way to turn (left if Northbound, Right if Southbound) and it is tucked away behind a gas station and a couple of fast food joints. Easy to miss.

Favorite Dish: Meat Loaf (very good too), with pinto beans, fried okra and mashed potatoes.

Golden Corral: All You Can Eat

by Basaic Written Aug 8, 2014

    2.5 out of 5 starsHelpfulness

$11 as of June 2014. Golden Corral is an all you can eat buffet with a variety of American food. How fresh the food is depends on how busy they are and luck. The meatloaf I had was a bit overdone. The fish and fried shrimp was good. The vegetables kinda average. Good if you want lots of food fast.

    Denny's: Decent Chain Restaurant

by Basaic Written Dec 9, 2013

$14 as of December 2013. One of the things I like about Denny’s is they are pretty consistent. You largely know what to expect from one to the next. If you like their food; stop here. The main thing that changes my ratings for a Denny’s from a 3 of 5, up or down, is the service. The food and service here was average. I made good use of my military discount here, and bought a piece of pumpkin pie. Right next to my hotel too.

Favorite Dish: I had some good grilled tilapia and a very nice piece of pumpkin pie!
