Kactus Kates advertises food, fun and spirits. Another sign outside mentioned karaoke with a DJ named Sexy Rexy. Inside you find a pool table, darts, a small dance floor, and several TVs for watching sports. I was there on a Monday and they were prepping for a Monday Night Football Special/Happy Hour. I saw at least a couple of people "hook up", so it looked like the local singles spot (at least in Old Town). Prices were about average. There is a Kate; but I was too early to meet her.
Dress Code: The norm was jeans, cowboy attire and biker attire. One girl was wearing low-rise ripped jeans and a very low cut top that showed lots of cleavage. I think the main dress code is you must remain dressed.
Two of the restaurants I mentioned on this travel page have bars too. Nic's appears to have the bar mostly to cater to dinner guests. The Tavern Grille had some patrons there just to drink and watch the sports on TV. If you are just looking for a bar; look at the next tip.
Dress Code: Most of the patrons at Nic's were fairly well dressed but they let me in and I was wearing jeans. The Tavern Grille seemed more relaxed.
