Flagstaff Brewing Compnay: Best Burgers Around
Can't beat a warm afternoon out on the patio, people watching with a glass of FBC brew. Since you are there you might as well have one of the best burgers in town. They don't joke around and I almost always go home with half a burger, for later. Busy place on nice days.
Favorite Dish: Can't beat the Black and Blue burger, fries (with gravy and cheese on top)!

Cafe Espress: Good stop for lunch or latte
This place tries to emulate the hip natural foods coffee houses of the west coast more than anything, but it is also uniquely Flagstaff. The hardwood floors step down from the window tables to the coffee bar. Modern art and images from Grand Canyon with track lights on them adorn the dimly lit room. A bohemian like couple seemed to be discussing the latest efforts to improve the local museum, suggesting that the town had it share of artistic like folk. I ordered a tuna melt and a latte, while my wife ordered a larger sandwich to-go, along with a mug of hot chocolate to drink there. I tried to get a copy of the to-go menu, but they were fresh out of copies. Credit Card accepted. This is about all that we did in Flagstaff as we were just passing through, but it was quite adequate a little lunch and a cup of java for the road. So, to avoid the usual corporate junk food along the highway, take the time to get off I-40, and drive the business route into the old center of town to visit this place.
Favorite Dish: The list of coffee drinks was entirely adequate, and the food very good. The service was good, even if the to-go menu could not be readily found. There were several choices on the menu that I would go with.

Galaxy Diner: Comfort food that is out of this world!
A forary back in time to the 1950's when life was simple. There is a juke box but alas no table top box to slip a quarter in for 2 plays. You can however, sidle up to the jukebox and make your request that way. Alas the tunes are not on records but CD. Oh well, at least they had a large selection from which to choose. The tables are white formica and the seats red leather. The waitresses are dressed in 1950's garb and the only thing that was missing was the car hops on roller skates and the drive in parking lot dining. Galaxy is a chain with 4 more locations in Utah.
Favorite Dish: I think this diner has the best waffles in this country. Crisp and light they add a hint of malt to their batter and these waffles cook up perfect everytime. Everyone enjoyed the food so really you cannot go wrong with all that is on the menu. We were just too stuffed to have dessert.

Delhi Palace: Great Indian Food
Good food with lots of attention by the wait staff. Dinner was served promptly. Location in a shopping mall should not put you off.
Favorite Dish: I had the $14 Tandori dinner (2 types of chicken. 2 of lamb), Nancy had the $9 Chicken in coconut sauce. Both were great.
Sakura is the only Teppenyaki restaurant in Flagstaff. The chef's put on a great show and the food is really good as well.
Sakura also serves good sushi, although it isn't the best in town. It's a fun place to go with a group of people, though reservations are suggested!
Favorite Dish: Flaming shrimp...The dish is good, but the presentation is better!!!
Kokopelli: AZ Winery
Kokopelli opened just recently in Heritage Square in Downtown Flagstaff. The wine is pretty good, as is the food. The service...not so great. But it's nice for a leisurely afternoon on a nice open patio downtown. It's become one of our favorite Sunday traditions!
Favorite Dish: We like to go "noshing" in the afternoon. It's just us, some cheese, bread, fruit, chocolate and a bottle of wine of course! Very nice and relaxing.
Another really good dish is the Spinich and Fig salad. It has this balsamic reduction dressing that is amazing!!!
San Felipe's: Fish Tacos
San Felipe's is earning quite a reputation as more than a party place due to the awesome food. It's a baja style mexican restaurant featuring seafood dishes as well as traditional southwestern Mexican food.
Again, I'm not just saying this because I work there, but San Felipe's has the best fish tacos ever... I know it sounds gross, but they are actually quite good. If you make in there, you have to at least give it a try!!
Favorite Dish: My personal favorite are the surf and turf tacos which comes with steak and shrimp with pico de gallo, lettuce, and baja sauce (the key ingredient!) wrapped in a flour tortilla...muy bueno!!
Yum...Monsoon has some really good sushi for a landlocked location!!! The chefs are super creative and come up with some killer rolls.
We have never had a bad sushi experience there and have been many many times.
Favorite Dish: Try the sumo roll...a friend of ours made it up. It's a jumbo roll with a big piece of ahi tuna, tempura shrimp, japanese carrot, mango, and avacado, it's wrapped in rice and rolled in poppy seed. SOOOOO GOOD!!!!
Dara Thai: Dara Thai
Flagstaff has some excellent places to eat Thai food, but I would have to say that Dara Thai is the best. It is located downtown and is a good starting point for exploring or walking around downtown.
Favorite Dish: Evil Jungle Princess with Thai tea.....mmmmm
Brandy's Restaurant: I'M CRAZY ABOUT THIS PLACE!!!
A restaurant like this is hard to come by these days. We come up from Phoenix often and about 2 years ago had my first experience at Brandy's and ever since I can't stay away!! Everything is made on-site, everything down to even the salad dressings! The service is always top-notch, and the food is the best in town!
Favorite Dish: Any of their 20 different egg dishes! All are truly amazing!

La Fonda: Best Mexican Food
If you come to Flagstaff, do not leave without going to La Fonda for some awesome authentic Mexican food. It's off the beaten track, nestled in a less affluent neighborhood in Flagstaff, but any cab driver, or local will be more than happy to take you there or give you directions.
Favorite Dish: Everything is awesome!
The Cottage Place: The Cottage Place
The Cottage Place is a little house in historic downtown which was converted into a great restaurant.
The food is awesome, and they have the best wine list in Flagstaff. It's probably the most expensive place in town, but worth it. They open only for dinner, and definitely cater to couples. It's a very romantic place for a special occassion.
Salsa Brava: Don't miss the salsa bar!
I like this restaurant because it has a salsa bar, and I can't find another restaurant like it in Flagstaff. I like their food (not as good as in Phoenix) and the prices are okay.
Favorite Dish: My favorite dish right now is the spinach and portobello mushroom enchiladas.
Little Thai Kitchen: Little Thai Kitchen (they're not kidding!)
The Little Thai Kitchen, is exactly what it claims to be... a very small dining area with a kitchen. I do not think that it seats more than 15, but then again, who likes to eat with large crowds? They do not skimp on hotness, and I find that their menu is quite varied.
An added bonus is the salad with peanut sauce they serve before every meal. Their portion size is little smaller than some of the other local thai venues, however, I believe that they have the best tasting meals.
A word of advice...do takeout when possible. The seating can be very uncomfortable, especially in the winter.
Favorite Dish: Their fried rice is exceptionally good, and their fried tofu is very light and yummy!
Raja Thai: You like Thai food??
It has really good Thai food. I would say it's better than Dara Thai. Like I said, I love Thai food and I think that these are the only two restraunts for thai food that are worth going to.
Favorite Dish: The pinneaple fried rice and the dish with tofu, broccoli, and wheat noodles is really good (I can't remember what it's called).
