We booked our trip with a company called Look Tours. They have plenty of options and trips for places such as the Grand Canyon and Hoover Dam. The trip we booked was the 'Grand Canyon Ultimate Experience - Airplane - Helicopter - River Boat - Bus Combination Tour' and was approximately 7 hours long.

We were picked up from our hotel in Las Vegas (MGM Grand) by bus and were then taken to a depot to check in and be weighed etc. From there the bus took us to the airport in Henderson where we boarded a small plane (1 pilot, approx 7 passengers). The flight lasted around 45 minutes, and lets just say, it would be wise to take some travel sickness pills before you go! Despite the queasiness of the flight it was still a good experience.

When we arrived at Grand Canyon airport we boarded a helicopter and took a 10 minute ride down into the canyon. From there we hopped onto a boat and were given a 20 or so minute journey down the Colorado river which was very peaceful and the man driving the boat was very knowledgable and helpful. After the boat ride we got the helicopter back to the airport where we caught the bus which took us to the Hualapai Indian Reservation.

At the Native American Indian reservation we had lunch on benches that overlooked the canyon (so we had to be very careful that no litter blew away). It was at this part of the canyon we were free to roam to take photographs.

This little bus is the best way to view a good span of the Grand Canyon without hiking 50,000 miles. It makes multiple stops in which you can choose to stop for 5 minutes then hop on again to the next stop or just take your time and wait for the next bus to come along. At the end of the route it brings you to a gift shop where you can buy those shot glasses for all your friends back home MAKING you get them something. :):) While you're up there, try out the toilets. heheh They were definitely something to figure out.
